New Season New Captains New Update

12/9 Captains Lunch 12:00

Please come to the launch of the training/racing/volunteering plan for the next 12 months

Hope you are enjoying the Summer, it's great to see the club become busier again as everyone returns from holiday and starts their preparations for the winter and head race season. Congratulations to Johan and Martelle Slabbert whose daughters successfully competed at Junior World championship and Coupe de la Jeunesse.

It has been a busy couple of weeks on the organisation side getting ready for the next year. Please find below an update on events and coaching. Any queries or errors please get back back to me, Mel or your VC as appropriate.

COACHING

A huge thank you to all the voluntary coaches who are keen to help this year. Would be great to hear from you if you are considering volunteer coaching. We are nearing the end of the interview process for our lead coaches and are looking to announce the outcome next week to be ready for Captains lunch on the 12th September where we will be reviewing plans for the year.

COMING UP

  • Pairs head - 10/10/15 - good event – likely to be quite a few entries, probably row down.
  • Kingston Small Boats Head - 31/10/15 recommended for anyone in the club who fancies competition.
  • Wallingford Head - 29/11/15 – good competition, over long and windy course.

Captain (Racing) - Paul Wood-Robinson
Captain (Recreational and Development) - Mel Mercer
