Twickenham Rowing Club was founded on the 26 July 1860 and is one of the oldest rowing clubs on the Thames. This Victorian boat house, on the historical and unique Eel Pie Island which lies in a particularly beautiful stretch of the River Thames, makes it an idyllic place to meet your companions and enjoy some hospitality whilst avoiding the crowds in the local pubs before a rugby match. What we offer:
We can host up to 120 for seated dining or 150 for a standing buffet and a wide variety of food choices including Indian, a Hog Roast, a Barbeque or seated fine dining English, Italian or French cuisine.
We also stock a good range of beverages but, if there is a preference for particular beers or wines etc., we can order these in for you.
We would recommend either arriving by coach to the island footbridge or by river boat to our pontoon, but the train station is just five minutes’ walk away and the rugby stadium is just 10-15 minutes’ walk. There are various packages available depending upon numbers expected to attend, type of food desired and if live entertainment if required.
