Twickenham's Callum Dixon and Vwaire Obukohwo joined five other GB athletes to race at Holland’s most renowned international regatta, the Koninklijke-Holland Beker regatta.
Callum kicked off his campaign on Saturday by booking a place in the semi-finals with a solid 2nd place in his M1x heat with Germany's Marc Webber taking first place.
Vwaire soon followed up with a straight final win in the U23 BW 2x with team mate Katherine George securing a commanding time of 7:00.97, a full 5 seconds quicker then the second placed Belgians.
On Sunday morning Callum progressed to the M 1x finals placing first with a time of 7:00.62, holding off Sweden's Ahmet Rapi by a full two seconds. In the afternoon he managed to reverse his previous days second place by beating Marc Webber in a tightly contested final. Trailing fifth in the first 500m Callum put in a strong middle section to pull into the lead which he held on to despite a last ditch challenge by Webber to record a winning time of 5:59.02
Vwaire, not content with the U23 W2x title won the previous day added the senior W2x title to her weekend tally with another strong performance with Katherine George.
