Callum Dixon kicked on from last years Olympic dissappointment to help secure a first-ever European gold medal win for Great Britain in the Men’s Quadruple Sculls. The crew of Cedol Dafydd, Callum Dixon, Matt Haywood and Rory Harris came from almost a length behind to eventually dominate the race in the last quarter and achieve a European best time of 05:35.02 in the process. “We’re very, very happy with that.” Callum said, adding, “It’s been an aim for a while, so it feels special to come away top of the podium. I’ve rowed with several different people now and I feel like I’ve learnt a little bit from each of them, so I think the people before us and behind us have certainly helped to make this possible.”
