Capping an excellent weekend of Twickenham results Jade Lindo and Vwarie Obukohwo won the Championship 4x at Women’s Henley after dispatching Lenander in the final to secure The Borne Cup. Racing as a composite crew alongside Nottingham RC’s and Trentham BC’s they eased their way into the final with a two thirds of a length win against Molesey BC. With little time for recovery after the semifinal the ladies were back on the water for the final against the Leander Club A boat who had reached the final at the expense of their stablemates Leander B. An aggressive start saw the composite quad take a slender lead over their illustrious rivals which they managed to hold onto despite a late surge by Leander to win by quarter of a length. The cherry on the cake for a superb club effort this weekend.
