Twickenham Regatta Recap: Juniors pick up six wins in 10 junior events

The crews also competed in three Women's events, highlighted by reaching final of the Women's Quads

Women's Junior 15 Sculls

In the Magpie, Dea J showed great consistency across two rounds. She secured a 1 1/4 length victory over Tideway Scullers in the semi-final and replicated that exact margin in the final against another Scullers opponent to secure the win.

Women's Junior 15 Double Sculls

Twickenham raced two boats in the Women's Junior 15 Double Sculls event.

In Double Bubble, Nell H and Sophie S delivered a 4-length win over Tideway Scullers in the semi-final. There they met the Twickenham crew of Lottie H and Teagan W, racing in Kay Plumtree. The all-club final was a close finished with Twickenham (Sophie S) winning but just 1/2 length.

Junior 15 Sculls

Reyansh B, racing in Pamela, represented the club in the Junior 15 Sculls. In a straight final against Radnor House, Reyansh secured a convincing victory.

Women's Junior 16 Double Sculls

Twickenham raced two boats in the Women's Junior 16 Double Sculls.

In Gabi Fell, Emma A and Isabella M faced off against Celia C and Sophie D racing in Avenger as both crews advanced straight to final where Twickenham (Isabella) won by 5 lengths.

Final Result: Twickenham (Isabella) defeats Twickenham (Sophie) by 5 lengths

Junior 14 Coxed Quads

The crew of Zachary W, Matthew P, William R, Charlie P, and Emma A (cox) powered through their event in A Cunning Plan, securing a dominant victory over Radnor House in the straight final.

Final Result: Twickenham defeats Radnor House (Nicola) by 3 1/2 lengths

Women's Junior 15 Coxed Quads

In Rachel Woolf, the crew of Dea J, Daphne E, Teagan W, Harriet B, and Aki M (cox) advanced through their semi-final after a Tideway Scullers scratch due to too many substitutions.

In the final they faced fellow Twickenham clubmates Audrey D, Nell H, Isabella M, Sophie S, and Celia C (cox) racing in A Cunning Plan who took the event by 2 lengths.

Final Result: Twickenham (Scott) defeats to Twickenham (Harriet) by 2 lengths

Junior 14 Double Sculls

Racing in Kay Plumtree, the crew of Charlie P and Zach S advanced to the final after Tideway Scullers scratched from their semi-final match. In the final, the crew was bested by Radnor House.

Women's Junior 14 Double Sculls

The duo of Harriet B and Aki M competed in Avenger. They moved through the semi-final following a scratch from Radnor House and met a tough Tideway Scullers crew in the final.

Junior 15 Double Sculls

The crew of Oli B and Sam H took to the water in Jimmy DiLuzio. In a straight final the crew full to Radnor House by 5 lengths.

Junior 15 Coxed Quads

Racing in A Cunning Plan, the crew of Zach S, Sam H, Oli B, Reyansh B, and Sophie D (cox) faced Radnor House crew in the final of the event, falling easily.

Results of the juniors in the Women's events

Several Twickenham Junior rowers also competed in three Women's events, picking up race wins in the first two rounds of the women's quads.

Women's Quads

Racing in Conchita & Geoff, the crew of Summer C, Pippa C, Skye B, and Violet F kicked off the day with a heat victory over Globe RC. They followed this with a 4 1/2 length semi-final win against Vesta RC before ultimately falling to Twickenham's senior women's crew in the final.

Women's Double Sculls

Racing in Double Bubble, Pippa C and Violet F also took on the Women’s Double Sculls. They met a fast Sons of the Thames crew in the opening round of the event.

Heat Result: Twickenham falls to Sons of the Thames (Blakely) by 3 lengths

Women's Sculls

Summer C competed in a third women's event, racing in Tufty Duck. She faced Fairlop RC in her opening heat.

Heat Result: Twickenham falls to Fairlop RC (Price) easily
