The senior womens eight qualified for the main draw of Henley Women's Regatta last Friday with a battling performance in the morning time trial. With a qualifying time of 5m 03sec they saw off the likes of Aurial Kensignton, Putney Town, Barnes Bridge Ladies and several other crews to represent the club in the Copas Cup. Their 'reward' was a first round clash with the Thames A RC crew. Unfortunately, despite a putting in a good performance they were beaten by the pedigree Thames crew who went on to be eventual winners. It is a testament to the seniors women's squad hard work this season along with great direction and support by coaches Jonny Searle, Tony Brook and Fiona Morrison that ensured this qualification. Well done everyone.
