Twickenham Complete London to Paris 'Ergathon'

Twickenham rowers partially occupied Church Street on Saturday as their ‘ergathon’ challenge to row the distance between London and Paris pulled in the crowds. Utilising six ergs both seniors and masters squads took turns to chip away at the 340 kilometer distance which was completed in just under six hours. Jamie Boyd put in an impressive shift by completing a full marathon distance before retiring to the Eel Pie Pub for a well earned isotonic beer. Also on offer was the fastest 100m competition where members of the public (mostly Harlequins and Bath rugby fans) could battle it out for a spot on the leaderboard and bragging rights. A lot of fun was had and a total of £1031.86 was raised. Well done to everyone involved.
