Boston Marathon may have been cancelled this year but it did not stop four Twickenham rowers from completing the 49.2 km distance on our own stretch of water. Tom Milne, Meg Obenshain, Gilly O'Beirne and Danny Fitzgerald were originally entered to race the Boston course in two singles and a double but poor river conditions forced organisers to cancel the event. Not to be deterred or to see their months of training wasted they joined forces to form a mixed quad instead. Thanks to Meg who saw the opportunity to tie the event with some fund raising set up a justgiving page which resulted in an astonishing £2258 being raised for domestic abuse charity Refuge.
